Hope we all are pursuing our IT skill traits that will bring peace and prosperity not only to our selves but also to the people around us. These days I have been experiencing the dramatic side of my self. One sentence in a book struck me wild; In summary it quotes "UnExplored potential and its miracles". This sentence given me tons of inspiration and it took around 6 months for me to get a tidbit of this insight. We will see this tapping in another blog but for time being Let's dwell in to the current tidbit and let me know your share of slice.
We spoke in our previous tidbits that how high performance individuals get groomed by corporate legends or vice versa. There are numerous examples in this world where like minded visionaries came out of big umbrellas and built big empires. I bow to that. Those were very much needed in fact now. But if you ask me now what matters most now is bringing peace at workplace aka Growth.
Growth is always shaped by business demands i.e the future technology up-skilling demand needs or the aspirations of the individual. If both former and later cause is same, then its a blessing. But its not always the case. Reason being is so simple- tech stack is not determined by the individual :) in almost 90% of the cases. Tech stack is always relative. I am not speaking about Soft Skills as they can be mastered as it is not a moving target like tech stack. So Growth factor is the the two way contract that should underpins the following contract values.
Value 1:
I am the employee and can give a commitment of minimum 5 years and will ensure to live BAU values and bring out my all creative flavours, be part of business journey and surrender to my teams highest aspirations. Give my best and support my peers to achieve their outcomes.
Value 2:
I am the employer who can back my team and create a culture to inspire . I am the employer who can visualise the 5 to 10 year road map hire and build teams.
If both values align then its not the great products and happy customers but also see happy engineers. I want happy engineers not passionate people. Happy engineers can create miracles and passion is a small word to describe once acumen.
I totally understand that in the age of ultra agile, long term commitments are not realistic, but if employers don't have the gut feel of 5 to 10 year visionary, then I feel its the mass impulse that dictates the market. I don't deny the fact there are rewards in the market impulse mode, but underneath what we are developing is an invisible framework which can spoil an organisation's culture.
So growth factor is the trust factor an individual demonstrates. How to measure this is again a big tidbit, we will see in coming blogs.
